Hello, OWFI! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
2018 is officially our 50th year and I could not be more excited! Are you ready?!
First thing, we're starting off with our annual writing contest. Do you have your entries ready? If you need some pointers, have no fear! Our very own Jennifer McMurrain has volunteered to talk all things writing contests in a FREE Virtual Workshop on January 4th at 7pm for all OWFI members.
Remember, you only pay ONE fee and then can enter ALL the categories you'd like! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Next, I'd like to introduce our 2019 President Elect, Staci Mauney. She's the 2018 Conference Chair and has been a valuable asset as we start the downhill slide toward our 50th Anniversary conference. She's organized, efficient, and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. So please, congratulate her over on OWFI's Facebook page. No president can do this job without YOUR support!
Last, I'd like to thank all of my officers, staff, and committee chairs for a great 2017. We've got an awesome lineup of speakers and activities for our 50th conference and it's because of all of you! For me personally, 2017 was amazing. I received a contract for my fantasy romance novel, became President of OWFI, and published that contracted novel. Cheers to 2018 being just as amazing for me and you!
