Free Writing Workshop in Enid
Author and writing instructor Nikki Hanna will speak at the Enid Public Library on July 27 from 1 to 4:30. The event is free to the public through the Enid Writers Club by way of a grant from the Enid Arts and Humanities Council. Nikki’s subjects for this workshop are “Write with Voice, Style and Humor” and “Capture Life Through Memoir— Writing the Hard Stuff.”

Pen and Keyboard Writers making its mark
February 9, Mike Hinkle will be the special speaker at the Pen and Keyboard Writers regular meeting. Mike is the author of The Butane Gospel; was a former weekly columnist for The Edmond Sun; is regular contributor to Boomer Living; engaged in a life-long quest for the perfect pie, the smoothest bourbon, good music, eccentric characters, and the magic lamp. After retiring as an attorney, he received his MFA from Oklahoma City University.
Enid Author Fest
Local author festivals provide an opportunity for authors to showcase their work while developing connections in the area, and the public learns about authors publishing right here in their neighborhood. Attendees can meet some of the top writing talents in the region, sample their work, and even take home an autographed book.
Nevermore Edits is expanding!
Beginning in January, Nevermore Edits is starting a brand new workshop. According to Nevermore President-Elect Jack Burgos, "Nevermore Edits will now meet on Wednesdays as well as Fridays, weekly, at 7 p.m. We'll critique pieces, as always, bringing the same Murder Method that you've come to know and trust."
