Dear Author,
Local author festivals provide an opportunity for authors to showcase their work while developing connections in the area, and the public learns about authors publishing right here in their neighborhood. Attendees can meet some of the top writing talents in the region, sample their work, and even take home an autographed book.
You are cordially invited to apply for participation in the 2019 Enid Author Fest to be held at the Enid Public Library Saturday, March 2, 2019, from 1:00-5:00 pm.
Tables will be set up in the first floor lobby for book signing and selling from 1:00-5:00 pm. Informal readings for children's and young adult authors will take place on the west side of the library, and for adults on the east. If you wish to participate please indicate on the registration form. Readings will be limited to no more than 10 minutes due to time constraints. Table sitters will be available to take care of author tables while participating in a reading.
The festival is limited to 40 authors. All applications must be in by January 30. Authors accepted into the festival will be notified by February 1. Authors will need to provide their own books to sell and a money box with change. Authors will be responsible for the selling of their books as well as Oklahoma/Garfield County/City of Enid sales tax for this event. While authors will be limited to promoting one title through festival marketing, they are welcome to bring as many titles as they wish to sell. All monies collected from book sales will go to the author.
In lieu of a table fee, authors are asked to donate a copy of the book they are promoting. This should be a title not already in our library’s collection. Authors can check are catalog here:

The Enid Public Library will provide one-half of a six-foot table, a chair, and a name tag. Authors will set up on the first floor of the library. Food and drinks are allowed at the tables. If there is a preference for a table partner please indicate on the registration form.
Check-in will begin at 10:00 am and end at 12:45 pm. Please be aware that parking is limited. We ask that you park close to the library (street or our alley parking) to unload, and then move your vehicle to the parking lot one block south and west of the library to allow for ample parking for our attendees. Upon check-in, you will receive your name tag and table assignment. The festival will run from 1:00-5:00 pm. We ask that all participating authors stay for the entire event.
